We are Mentone Manspreaders, your friendly neighbourhood reporters. Our core values, independence, considering both sides, and above all, never criticising the College, set a high standard that thanks to our hard working team we almost always achieve. Being owned by Evil Incorporated has allowed us to have strict, objective editorial policies which aren’t captured by corporate interests, something many of our peer publications unfortunately don’t achieve.
Alongside, we strive to consider both sides. A key example of this is when we asked in a comment on a livestream whether calling Palestinian infants “terrorists” was really accurate. After that incident, we received many angry emails from the Israel Lobby calling us anti-Semitic and terrorist supporting. In line with those critiques, we agreed to never even think about Palestinians again, and to act like they don’t exist.
Our most important policy, however, is our unending and unconditional love of our College, glorious and supreme in both power and knowledge. The College Board is omnipotent and all-loving, and we would never even dare critique it. It is the wellspring in which all the goodness of our community emerges.
